The Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Office will be hosting its Citizens Academy Class. The academy will consist of 8 sessions ranging from 2-2.5 hrs. There will be a limited number of accepted applicants. Each session will have representatives presenting from various departments and specialty units. The Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Department is proud of its commitment to working with citizens to create a quality of life in Otter Tail County in which we can all be proud of. To do this effectively, it is important for citizens to understand the policies, procedures and protocol of the sheriff’s department as well as what it is like to be one of the men and women sworn to protect and serve this county. It is equally important for the Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Department to learn about the concerns and needs of the citizens they serve. The Citizens Academy is a great way for that to happen!
This year’s class will be held on Wednesday April 6th 2011, and will meet once a week and end May 25th 2011. Classes will start at 7pm.
