Otter Tail County and our community partners keep residents and businesses informed of emergencies and other time-sensitive information through CodeRED, a high-speed emergency notification system capable of delivering customized emergency messages by telephone call, text messages, and emails. Notifications can be sent to individual neighborhoods or communities, or the entire county for critical situations like weather, missing persons, and evacuation notices.

​Signing Up is as Easy as 1 - 2 - 3

  • Step 1. Visit the Otter Tail County CodeRED community enrollment pageIf you do not have internet access, please contact Otter Tail County Emergency Management (218) 998-8067 for assistance.
  • Step 2. Enter your contact information, including land line and cellular phone numbers, and email addresses. Select the types of emergency, community, and weather messages you want to receive.
  • Step. 3. Save the Caller ID numbers below into your phone's contacts so you can easily recognize the call.

Identifying Notifications

You will know the call is an important CodeRED message when you see Emergency Communications Network or the following numbers on your Caller ID. Please make sure to add these telephone numbers to your phone's contact list. If you would like to hear the last message delivered to your phone, simply dial the numbers back.
